Lehigh Acres Heads Into 2020! Chamber Of Commerce Gala To Honor The Stars Of Our Community

It will be held on Saturday, January 18th at 6:00 P.M. at the Plantation Golf & Country Club with entertainment by Wayne Cristiano. This is a great business community event. LEE COUNTRY SCHOOL DISTRICT – AREA SCHOOLS

Mrs. Cathleen Morgan, District 7 At-Large Board Member of the Lee Country School District reports to us this month on various exciting educational activities going on in our area schools. Mrs. Morgan is no stranger to Lehigh Acres. As an at large Board member her scope and concern for our community is well known. LEHIGH ACRES MUNICIPAL DISTRICT 

The Lehigh Acres Municipal Services Improvement District is as always active and busy these days with a number of public events. First, the District hosted its 7th Annual Town Hall Reception for the community. It featured State of Florida District Secretary LK Nandam who came from the Bartow area to publicly thank the Municipal District for its partnership with the State and Country for its crucial role in drainage, dirt fill of the muck pits as well as underground infrastructure for the new SR 82 expansion. In addition the Municipal District was host to several of our elected officials including Senator Kathleen Passidomo, county commissioners as well as elected officials from the Lee Health System, Clerk of Courts Linda Doggett, the Lehigh Acres Fire District, the Lee School Board as well as Commissioners from the Lehigh Fire District.

Carla Brantley of the Lehigh Acres Municipal District also offers us an expanded article covering the Wings Over Water Festival scheduled for Saturday, January 25, 2020 at Harnes Marsh. It will begin at 9:00 a.m. and end at 2:00 p.m. Carla’s article out-lines the activities and speakers for the day.

LEE COUNTY COMMISSIONER RAY SANDELLI

Ray has hit the ground running since his appointment to the Board of Country Commissioners by Governor DeSantis. Ray is quickly becoming known in our community and has been visiting various citizens and events in our community, While we vote for all our commissioners – Commissioner Sandelli represents District 3 on the Board that includes Southern Lee County, Fort Myers Beach and other areas along the Coast.
